36th Outdoor Season
Opening Market: Saturday, May 5
8:30-10:30am
7th & Merchant Parking Lot
We're moving back to the parking lot! After many discussions with city officials, our board of directors, customers, local merchants, and many others, the city has supported our board's recommendation to move back to our previous home in the parking lot at 7th & Merchant. This agreement will allow us to have access to the market kiosk, additional space, and a convenient downtown location for the 2018 season.
As Downtown Emporia continues to flourish & grow, our advisory board will continue to explore potential long-term locations for the market through 2018. We are proud to be part of a vibrant downtown community, but also realize parking and available space is at a premium with the many expanding businesses and popular events that increase traffic and parking needs.
Overall, the market is a true benefit to Emporia, bringing hundreds of people to our downtown sector to purchase the freshest produce in town. Our market provides the primary outlet for 60+ area farmers, backyard gardeners, and local artisans to share their hard work and talents with our community. We pride ourselves on our long-standing commitment to bringing fresh, local, and affordable foods to families, low-income shoppers, seniors, and customers of all ages.
We look forward to welcoming you to the market starting Saturday, May 5!

Become a Vendor!
The Emporia Farmers Market welcomes new vendors throughout the year. If you grow it, make it, or bake it, we'd love to have you share your talents with the market.
Read more about becoming a vendor HERE.
New and returning vendors can complete the 2018 Vendor Agreement HERE.
Not sure what types of food are allowed at the market? Take a look at the K-State Food Safety Guidelines to learn more about selling fresh produce, honey, eggs, meats, baked goods, live plants, and herbs.
Thanks to the generosity of the Emil Babinger Charitable Trust, we're reducing vendor commissions in 2018. In addition, we're one of the only markets in Kansas to collect and pay sales tax on behalf of our vendors. No tax ID? No problem! If you don't plan on selling outside the Emporia market, you don't have to hassle with the extra paperwork and registration.
Non-profit and community groups can opt to host a hot-foods fundraiser up to six times throughout the year at the market kiosk. Biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, brats and burgers, and grilled veggies are great options for the summer season. Food trucks are also welcome at the market! Email emporiafm@gmail.com to learn more.
Questions? Contact our market manager, Jessica, at 620-343-6555 or email emporiafm@gmail.com.
